In honor of National Hair Day on October 1st, Kitsch is supporting aspiring trichologists who love making content. Create a short video sharing why you want to pursue trichology and your passion for hair care and content creation, post it to Instagram, and submit it here for a chance to win a sponsorship of up to $4,000 toward the International Association of Trichologists trichology course. Ten more standout participants will each win a $100 Kitsch gift card to stock up on their favorite hair care.

Each scholarship provides up to $4,000 USD toward the International Association of Trichologists trichology course. Kitsch may, at its sole discretion, cover additional eligible costs beyond this amount. Prizes are non-transferable and can't be exchanged for cash, except where required by law.
Contest terms & conditions
Eligibility. Open to U.S.-based participants who are 18 years of age or older.
Contest period. Entries will be accepted from October 1, 2026 through October 12, 2026 at 12:00 PM Pacific Time (PT). Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.
How to enter. Participants must create an original video sharing why they want to pursue trichology and their passion for haircare and content creation. Participants may also choose to share their personal hair/scalp journey. This is entirely voluntary, and participants should share only what they are comfortable making public. Participants must post their entry to Instagram, follow and tag @mykitsch, and use #trikitsch. Participants must also complete the Kitsch submission form to provide their contact and entry information.
Original content. All submissions must be original content created by the participant and must not infringe upon any third-party rights. Participants are responsible for obtaining permission for any individuals or other materials appearing in their submission. Entries must use only original audio or music that is royalty-free or licensed for commercial use, and must not use music from Instagram's personal-account music library. Entries that use unlicensed music may be disqualified or may not be eligible for reposting.
Judging. Entries will be judged subjectively by a panel of Kitsch employees, based on passion for trichology, motivation, commitment to education, content creation ability, authenticity, and potential impact. Judging is a matter of the panel's discretion, and its decisions are final. Participants who choose to share their personal hair/scalp journey will not be advantaged or disadvantaged for doing so. Follower count and engagement metrics (such as views, shares, comments, and saves) will not be used to select winners.
Prizes. Tier 1: Two (2) winners will each receive a sponsorship of up to $4,000 USD toward the International Association of Trichologists trichology course. Tier 2: Ten (10) additional standout participants will each receive a $100 Kitsch gift card.
Winner selection. Winners will be selected by Kitsch's judging panel based on the judging criteria above and notified on or around October 14, 2026 via the contact information provided with their submission.
Prize restrictions. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by law. The Tier 1 sponsorship may only be applied to the International Association of Trichologists trichology course.
Content usage. Ownership: Participants keep ownership of their content. License scope: By entering, participants grant Kitsch a non-exclusive license to repost and share their submitted entry on Kitsch's organic (unpaid) channels, such as Kitsch-owned social media accounts, website, and email. Term: The license begins on the date of Kitsch's first repost, which must occur within six (6) months of the winner announcement, and lasts twelve (12) months from that date. If Kitsch has not reposted an entry within six (6) months of the winner announcement, the license for that entry expires. Withdrawal: Participants may revoke this license at any time by emailing emma.nyren@mykitsch.com. Kitsch will stop new uses and remove the content from Kitsch-owned channels within one (1) week of the request. Revocation does not affect content already published before the request, such as past email sends, and participants remain free to keep or delete their own Instagram post. Paid usage: Kitsch will not use any entry in paid advertising, including boosted posts, paid social, or paid partnerships, unless the participant signs a separate written release. Declining has no effect on eligibility or prizes.
Privacy. Information collected through the submission form will be used only to administer the contest, including judging, contacting entrants, and delivering prizes. It will not be added to Kitsch marketing lists without a separate, voluntary opt-in, and is handled in accordance with the Kitsch Privacy Policy.
Disqualification. Kitsch reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the contest requirements, contains inappropriate or prohibited content, or violates these terms.
No purchase necessary. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
Final rules. This contest is subject to Kitsch's official rules and applicable federal, state, and local laws. Final terms are subject to legal review and approval prior to launch.
